May Day was last week, and I attended the march in my local area. Not only were people marching for workers' rights - they were marching for peace.

Numerous people held signs concerning peace, particularly about Canada's current involvement in Afghanistan. The march was led by the striking workers of Palace Casino in West Edmonton Mall. Others were union representatives, labour activists, peace activists, politicians, candidates, workers, and those in solidarity with them.

Here is a look at what happened!
