The Supreme Court of Canada has decided not to hear appeals from U.S. war resisters seeking refuge in Canada.
To protest this decision, numerous rallies were held on November 15 throughout the country. The War Resisters Support Campaign has announced plans to ramp up pressure for a political solution, calling for a provision from Parliament to allow resisters and their families to stay in Canada.
