Despite pouring rain, the spirits of the brave students who walked to raise awareness of the genocide in the Sudan were not dampened.

Others joined with the group on the south side of Edmonton in the early afternoon, then the entire caravan finished the event downtown in Churchill Square for a rally featuring dancing and music. Walkers embraced, and did some important stretching, so hopefully everyone is able to be mobile this week! There was something incredibly poetic about seeing everyone dancing in the rain to the hip-hop beats from the stage. Have a look at this short video, featuring one of the walkers talking about the journey. As well, here is a collection of photos from the rally.
